ON & OFF GRID SOLAR SOLUTIONS
Off-grid solar systems or stand-alone solar systems are designed to provide electrical energy where grid power is unavailable. An off-grid system consists of solar panels a battery to store and supply power, and an inverter to control input and output of generated power and optionally a backup generator.
While installing your solution, our electrical maintenance specialists will assess your existing system and identify potential problems that you may not be able to see and do the repairs required to ensure your home or business electrical system is safe and up to code.

Case Study One
Clever Connections was approached by Luxe Constructions to design a custom electrical system for a luxury houseboat that could operate without a generator. This vessel would save guests the constant noise of a diesel generator that most houseboats suffer from.
Our team firstly conducted load studies on vessel’s existing electrical capacity before setting our minds to the task at hand.
Our solution was an all-electric solar panel and battery storage system with effective power management.
We installed 52 x Trina Vertex S Black on Black 21kW Solar Panels on the upper and lower levels of the vessel. These panels fed Pylon Tech US3000C Batteries plus 2 x Fronius 8.2kW Solar Inverters and 2 x Selectonic 7.5kW Battery Inverters – culminating in 42.6kW hours of battery storage!
To finish the project, we provided the owners with training on how to operate their new silent, green and environmentally friendly power source.
Case Study Two
Purchased by a couple from the Yorke Peninsula, this home was not as off-grid ready as the seller advertised it was. Upon moving in it was quickly discovered that off-grid meant that it had a diesel generator as it’s only source of power and the building itself was in in a state of disrepair.

We designed a fresh new system with both AC & DC coupled solar power generating 13.2kW and storing 30kW battery hours.
